Zephyr Comes to Noosaville

Zephyr Loungewear has leased an iconic commercial site in a popular Noosaville retail precinct for its thriving Sunshine Coast business through Ray White Commercial Noosa & Sunshine Coast North.

Zephyr has taken up a 204 sqm tenancy in the former Timbuktu to Kathmandhu shop at 50 Mary Street, Noosaville, in a deal negotiated by Ray White Commercial Noosa & Sunshine Coast North’s David Brinkley on behalf of a local owner.

David Brinkley said when Timbuktu to Kathmandu’s owners decided to close the business and move onto other things they asked him to look for a suitable replacement tenant who could make good use of the building they constructed and occupied for many years.

“It was one of the first commercial buildings to be built in Mary St and to this day is admired by all the customers who come for a look,” he said.

“I’ve been approached by multiple buyers over the years who just love the position and uniqueness of the building. When I listed the property for lease I had multiple tenants contacting me and buyers as well.”

David Brinkley said Zephyr owner Cherilyn Hewish had visited the building many times and loved the site and thought it would be perfect for her business.

“Cherilyn will be selling pure linen and pure cotton bed linen and cotton mosquito nets all made right here in Noosaville along with their own fashion label,” he said. “It’s beautiful clothing made to flatter all women, mainly linen to suit our wonderful climate.”

David Brinkley said Ray White Commercial Noosa & Sunshine Coast North has successfully filled the last remaining showroom spaces in Gibson Rd and now this Mary St position as well.

“We have also recently negotiated multiple lease/sales within the Homemaker Centre in Noosaville,” he said.

“Showroom space is now sparse and we still have tenants looking to secure a suitable position which is great news for any vendors with spaces which might be available.”

Zephyr has taken out a 3 + 3 + 3-year lease at nett rental of $70,000 per annum.
